Causeway Marina is a Family Owned and operated business since 1989. Offering Brands such as Crownline Boats, Lowe Pontoon & Fishing Boats, and Supra & Moomba Ski and Surf Boats. We are a full-service marina performing diagnostics and repairs on all marine engines, preferably, Mercury, Mercruiser, Yamaha, Volvo Penta and Indmar engines.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Marine Technician to be the Lead Tech/Shop Foreman, to run the Service Department at Causeway Marina. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing a small team of maintenance technicians, coordinating with other departments and our suppliers, and performing and overseeing maintenance and repairs to all customer boats and our rental fleet.
Successful Applicants will have:
- 3+ years in the Marine Industry.
- Experience with performing diagnostics, extensive repair of marine engines, and general maintenance are required with both Outboard and Sterndrive engines, preferably Mercury, Mercruiser, Yamaha or Volvo Penta.
- Must have your own tools. (Specialty/ uncommon tools will be provided)
- Experience operating a tractor, forklift, and hoist safely. Certification preferred. If you have experience but are not currently certified, we will provide appropriate classes for certification.
- Experience in safe operations of vessels of various types and sizes.
- Must have excellent communication, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Computer and Marine software experience necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee service on boats and engines
- Estimate and quote various service work
- Manage shop and yard personnel
- Assist in training of employees
- Extensive Communication with customer’s and manufacturers via phone, email and in person.
- Work with mechanics on troubleshooting
- Ensure timely delivery of new boats with Sales Department
- Work with Sales Department on rigging
- Assist in filing warranty items in a timely manner.
